Learn to Use Tooltip Effectively

The tooltips are very helpful in creating compelling data visualization because it allows you to read and analyze data points more easily.

As you hover over the data points in the template, a box of info appears. So, simply move your cursor over a data point in the chart you want to see more information on and wait for the tooltip to appear.

The tooltip may contain a variety of information, such as the specific value of the data points, the date or time associated with them, or any other relevant data related to the chart.

If you want to see the tooltip for a different data point, simply move your cursor to that point and wait for the tooltip to appear. To close the tooltip, simply move your cursor away from the data point, and the tooltip should disappear automatically.

As you can see in the Tooltip section of the panel, you can customize it as you like.

Would you like to change the style of data points inside the tooltips, such as the alignment, size, or color, a bit? Easy!

Do you see the small square beside the data points? You can decide whether to display it and where.

Now, if you wish to make the tooltip more distinctive, add a border around it with the "Stroke" option.

Don't worry. It doesn't have to be as thick as you can see in the picture below because the width is customizable. You can choose any color you want for it.

Time for the sticky lines. Sticky lines are the vertical colored lines that appear on the right side of the data points to make them stand out more. They are merely decorative means!

Last but not least, you have the option to change the tooltip background to any color that you want.

That's pretty much all you need to know about the tooltips.
