Power BI runs your internal reporting. PlotSet makes the chart you publish, animate or put in a video.
Choose Power BI for governed internal reporting on live company data, especially if you are already in Microsoft 365 — it is far better at that than PlotSet. Choose PlotSet when the chart has an external audience and needs to be animated, embedded publicly, or rendered to video.
Power BI is Microsoft's business intelligence platform. Power BI Desktop authors reports against an enormous connector library, and the service distributes them through workspaces with governance and Microsoft 365 integration. Sharing requires per-user licensing, and public embedding — 'publish to web' — is disabled by policy in many tenants.

Power BI is a genuinely powerful platform and PlotSet does not compete with its modelling, connectors or governance.
