Infogram is an infographic and reporting platform with charts built in. You assemble multi-page projects from layout templates, drop in charts, maps and text, and publish them as interactive web pages or embeds. It offers 35+ chart types and, on Pro, over 800 map types, plus a 'Create with AI' feature that generates a whole project from a prompt, topic or uploaded file.
PlotSet is chart-first rather than page-first. It ships 300+ chart templates including animated races and moving maps, renders MP4 video on every plan, and pushes charts into Figma, Google Sheets and the browser.
Infogram animates the presentation — elements slide and fade as a reader scrolls a report. PlotSet animates the data — bars overtake each other as the timeline advances, and the result can be rendered as a video file. They are different meanings of the word 'animated', and which one you need decides the tool.

Infogram is a capable infographic tool with a bigger map library than PlotSet and a mature template system for multi-page reports. Where it stops is data animation and video: its animation is presentational, and there is no MP4 render. Its free tier is also tight at 10 projects for a single user. If you produce branded reports, Infogram is a reasonable choice. If you produce animated charts, social video, or want AI to rebuild a chart from an image, PlotSet does work Infogram does not attempt.
