Every 90 m patch of the Australian Alps bioregion, arranged by ecological condition. In 2017 it was a single tall peak of high-condition habitat (~75%). After the 2019-20 fires the curve splits: a large new population of low-condition, burnt land appears on the left, beside the surviving high-condition peak. Land below 40% condition jumped from 4% to 38% — a shift the bioregion average (70% → 52%) only hints at. Source: NSW DCCEEW — Habitat Condition 2024 (SEED NSW), CC BY 4.0
